Project Statement: The complete renovation of an existing building to accommodate Dr. Kennedy’s hearing healthcare practice. Anchor Point’s design included a new front façade and complete architectural interior fit-out construction documentation. Our construction documentation included new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, as well as structural modifications to correct existing building deficiencies. Anchor’s interior design provided multiple exam rooms with audiology booths, fitting rooms, lab space, offices, a waiting room, a conference room and an employee break room. Our design also incorporated sound-dampening systems between the exam rooms and adjoining spaces.
Client: The Elms of Cranbury
Location: Cranbury, New Jersey

Project Statement: Redesigning an historical core building in and around new additions is a satisfying professional challenge. Our goal was to increase circulation efficiency and coordinate the business office for workflow procedures. The multi-floor operations of nursing home support personnel and below-grade structural modifications were a major concern, and were incorporated in all the final schemes.
Client: New Horizon

Anchor Point space planned each floor and incorporated potential meeting, office and group presentation spaces. IBC floor and area separations were creatively designed to give our client the maximum use of all floors.

Client: Senior Care Centers of America
Square Footage: Various
Project Statement: Our Senior Care Centers of America projects centered on converting existing buildings into senior adult daycare facilities. Principals in our firm were involved in all aspects of these conversions directly. We provided feasibility, budgeting/opinions of cost, and full architectural, engineering and construction administration support to this private sector healthcare/daycare provider. As this organization grew, we provided designs for multiple facilities in multiple communities. We paid careful attention to the activities and programs, and how to design for the daily workings of the organization and its amenities. As our repeat work illustrates, the client continued to come back to us to refine the design until we had developed a prototype that worked for the industry and their corporate model.
Client: Five Star Senior Living
Location: Devon, Pennsylvania
Square Footage: 2,000sf
Project Statement: Five Star Senior Living in Devon, Pennsylvania, is a beautiful example of using the existing historical building and a new modern structure. Anchor Point Architecture redesigned an existing lower office wing, conference area and storage spaces to meet the growing business demands of the assisted living sector. This facility offers a personal care home that provides assistance with the activities of daily living as well as Alzheimer’s/Memory Support Services, Short-Term Stays, and In-house Rehabilitation Specialty Services.
Client: Capital Program Office - City of Philadelphia
Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
Project Statement: The mission of Woodstock Family Center is to provide emergency housing services for adult women and their children, and to assist them in areas of self-sufficiency and self-esteem. The Capital Program Office of the City of Philadelphia requested renovations to the bathroom and shower facilities in an existing facility for single homeless mothers in Philadelphia. Work consisted of full architectural design, including materials selection and detailing, as well as plumbing engineering and full construction administration. Through working with clients such as the City of Philadelphia, we have learned the complexities of working with public agencies to achieve their goals for public projects better than most. This allows us to transcend the typical architectural service provided to the public sector.
